BLiNC by bambi lynn Back in the Big Apple
The BLinC by bambi lynn team visited once more it’s home away from home headquarters…NYC! The occasion? We’re sure we don’t have to enlighten our fashionista readers, who were more than likely hooked and up-to-date on what was happening in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week’s runways.
Guest blogger Madison Ramsey, Designer Cesar Galindo, and Producer Bambi Lynn
Like some of our previous visits, the BLiNC by bambi lynn team headed out to support NY-based designer and long time friend, Cesar Galindo. This year Cesar flabbergasted audiences in his CZAR’s 2014 Fall Collection Fashion Show, which took place at the HUB on February 9th. With the collaboration of Cesar Galindo’s team, led by Gregory Triana of Blue Cashew Productions, we all came together to a finished product of glamour, high fashion, and the both feminine yet street-glam designs that pumped the runway.

Our journey started on February 7th as our production team embarked on the NY flight alongside Page Parkes models, summoned exclusively for Cesar’s show and hopping on our team were Erica Renee Garza, old-timer of the BLiNC team and Digital Media Executive at KPRC Local 2, and Madison Ramsey as guest blogger. It goes without saying that by the time we all came together with Cesar it was quite notorious that Houston was in the house! And boy, what a statement did it make on the Big Apple.
Fittings for the show took place on February 8th, where all the pre-show magic occurred before the runway magic! Joining the models was reality show celebrity Kate from “Breaking Amish” and Brie from “Blood, Sweat, & Heels”. With the fitting taking place from roughly noon till 4pm, the team and models had a short breather before the big day.
Show time started for us around 10 am Sunday morning with the usual suspects: hair, make-up, and jewelry. We’ll give more of an inside scoop on Cesar’s show in our next blog post, so make sure to check our Facebook for updates!

Team hard at work!
Round of applause!
Knowing that we could not leave New York without indulging in some few treats, the BLiNC by bambi lynn team together with Page Parkes models stopped for a scrumptious pizza slice at Vezzo’s pizzeria on Lexington and 31st after the show. And our guest blogger, Madison, got to defy gravity in a showing of Wicked!
We also took Page Parkes models on an exclusive visit to Seventeen Magazine…but that adventure deserves it’s own post so stay tuned.
Can you see the yuuuum in our faces?
We’d like to thank Cesar Galindo and his entire team for their continuous trust and support as he skyrockets with his career, as well as Page Parkes Center of Modeling and Acting. Get more inside scoop on the show as we continue with feature posts for Cesar Galindo’s collection, and the Page Parkes models’ visit to Seventeen Magazine.

Page Parkes Kids show the latest Back To School trends
Here at BLiNC by bambi lynn we pride ourselves in giving back to the community via the different shows and events we produce throughout the year, and Step Up Your Style was no exception. Together with Grand Prairie Outlet malls we organized and produced a Back To School Fashion Show that also honored the Girl Scout Troops of West, Texas after this past May’s tragedy.
In a totally kind-driven act, six of the stores that dressed the participating Girl Scout Troops girls donated two of the worn outfits to each girl! The generous stores were Tommy Hilfiger, Izod, Bass, Van Heusen, Juicy Couture, and Fox.

The audience was encouraged to sign up for a chance to be selected to participate in the show, and four lucky girls gave their first modeling steps by winning scholarships to Page Parkes Center of Modeling and Acting.

Page Parkes and Bambi Lynn also spent time with the girls, sharing all tricks of the trade and more importantly the importance of living up to great dreams and goals.
